Retreat Leader: Nathan Foster|
Nathan Foster joined the Renovaré team as Director of Teaching Ministries in 2012. He is a sought after speaker and teaches across the United States on Christian living. He also has a musical side and plays bass in the band Christy and the Professors. Foster holds a master’s degree in social work and is licensed in clinical social work. He is also a level III certified addictions counselor, professor of social work and was named 2012 teacher of the year at Spring Arbor University.Author of Wisdom Chaser: Finding My Father at 14,000 Ft., the book chronicles the physically demanding climb Nathan and his father Richard took with no previous hiking or climbing experience. Along the journey, Nathan discovered himself and who his father really was. Through the challenging hike, he found himself opening up to grace and love. Currently, Nathan resides in Michigan with his wife and two children where he teaches, enjoys being a family man, and works on writing.
Retreat Leader: Juanita Rasmus
Inspirational speaker, motivational teacher, author, and founding Board Member of the Bread of Life Homeless Project, Juanita and her husband Rudy co-pastor St. John’s United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas. She is also the founder of The Art Project: Houston, a ministry that heals through art. Retreat Leader: David Wu
David is a Spiritual Formation Associate for Leadership Transformations, Inc. in Houston, Texas, and Pastor of Spiritual Formation at Access Church. He is a graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and Selah, LTi's Certificate Program in Spiritual Direction. In the last 10+ years of vocational ministry, David has been involved in overseas missions in East Asia, worship leading, and pastoral ministry. He is passionate about the ministries of soul care and worship, and feels called to be a spiritual companion to ministry leaders and overseas missionaries. David and his wife, Cindy, have three children.
Worship/Music Leader: Jeff Johnson
Born in 1956, Jeff began experimenting with making his own recordings at an early age. After graduating from Portland State University in 1978, he began devoting his attention to Ark Studios and established ArkMusic, which has been home to every Jeff Johnson project since 1977. Johnson is a versatile musician, and has collaborated in a number of distinct projects over the course of his discography, including: Instrumental Fantasy, Celtic and Sci-fi inspired works. Jeff's latest project is Antiphon. The title is a Latin word for a psalm, chant or hymn responsively sung in worship. The recording is a mix of sacred, classical, ambient and Celtic inspired music.
