About Couples in Ministry

October 25 - 28, 2010

From Mo-Ranch’s commitment to serve the needs of church, we are pleased to be offering our first ever Couples in Ministry Retreat. This retreat will be a four day gathering for clergy couples and other couples engaged in ministry as a vocation (missionary couples, pastor/DCE couples, and other combinations of couples who are engaged in ministry are all welcome). Challenges for these couples are unique. The four day event planned for October 26-29, 2009 will offer an opportunity for couples in ministry to learn from each other, to reconnect with their spouses, and attend sessions that are specifically tailored to their needs. This retreat offers top quality programming and leadership at a reasonable cost to participants.

Planning Team:

Rev’s Clayton and Kate Rascoe: Clayton is the Chaplain/Program Director for Presbyterian Mo-Ranch Assembly. Kate, has worked as a full-time hospital chaplain and as the solo pastor of a small church in North Carolina. Kate is currently answering the call to motherhood and exploring what vocational ministry she might be called to in the Hill Country.

Rev’s Jim and Laurie Barker: Jim and Laurie are graduates of Austin Theological Seminary and for the past seven years have been the co-pastors of two small Presbyterian Churches in Harper and Junction, Texas.
