A Taste of Texas is a sampler of stories, cowboy lore, music, and western art and artisans plus delicious Texas BBQ! From Enchanted Rock to the Marfa Lights, you will be fascinated by an award winning author and professional storyteller. Texas Legends and stories of haunted hotels, wild creatures, and large-than-life people with award-winning connections.
Exploration of Texas music roots and development will be led by a contemporary performer as well as a Texas music historian and educator.
Visit several artisan studios where Hill Country artists will share their passions as well as their work for our guests to enjoy.
Cap the week attending the 25th Texas Heritage Music Day on the Schreiner University Campus and experience first hand the heritage, history, music and stories of Texas as presented by more than 50 perfomers and living exhibits. See photos at www.texasheritagemusic.org.
