July 25 - 29, 2011
(formerly Confirmation Camp)
Young Disciples Camp is for students entering 6th, 7th, and 8th grades and their adult sponsors who:
* Want to learn more about the Christian life and the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)
* Are thoughtfully considering and preparing to make their own choice about becoming a member of the Church.
This camp is especially designed to provide a setting of fellowship which nurtures growing faith and provides structured activities to learn more about the Bible, the person of Jesus Christ, and God’s call to the Church to be the Body of Christ in the world. They, too, will be able to experience different types of worship in the beautiful Hill Country of Texas. Young Disciples Camp may be used to kick-off the process of confirmation for those who are preparing to join the Church.
Conference Goals
* To investigate: What is the Bible? Who is Jesus Christ? What is the Church? How do we respond to God’s love through living a Christian Life?
* To explore issues of faith in a supportive community
* To enjoy God’s creation and enjoy fellowship with other Christians
* For some, to prepare for the confirmation of baptismal vows and for membership in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)
